Creating a truly remarkable space requires a significant investment of time and energy to seek out the perfect furniture, rugs, artwork and lamps. And more than anything, you want your family and friends to love the space and not focus in on a single piece.

It’s the combination of your favorite things that makes a space memorable: the concrete owl you found at a garage sale in Albuquerque, the bowl from an open-air market in Florence or a vintage chair you always loved at your grandmother’s house. These “cool finds” together make the overall room remarkable.

As our loft design comes together, we will share with you some of our cool finds – pieces that become one with the design aesthetic, but tell a story.

Our first cool find is the space – The Loft.

Located in Atlanta, our loft has 1,300 square feet that includes one central living area, two bedrooms, two baths, a small galley kitchen and a tiny dining room. The two-story space features an abundance of natural light, vaulted ceilings and exposed brick. It also includes two outdoor living spaces – one downstairs and one up.

It has beautiful bones and unlimited potential. So, how did we find it?

We toured many different spaces for Perspective Atlanta. Condos. Townhomes. Penthouse suites. And lofts. We searched for a place our designer could transform. A place with a story. And, frankly – a place we think you’d like to live.

We found the ATLofts at Atlantic Station. Atlantic Station is a model for smart growth and sustainable development. It’s a community that blends architectural quality and functionality, combining affordable, middle-income, and up-scale housing with dining, entertainment, storefronts and office space.

The 24-hour community provides homes for 10,000 people, employment opportunities for 30,000, and shopping and enjoyment for millions more. It’s a place where Atlanta’s famed traffic yields to pedestrians strolling on wide sidewalks and relaxing in expansive parks.

The Loft is a blend of old and new. And, like all almost all cool finds – it has an interesting backstory. Just wait until you hear it all.
