The West has always attracted creative thinkers and visionaries—people who aim to break the mold. That’s why we selected Culver City, California, as the location for the second Perspective event to explore the fabric of luxury design.

Sunshine, varied landscapes and ample land for studio construction attracted early filmmakers to Southern California, and Culver City was at the heart of this artistic center. Metro-Godwyn-Mayer built its first studio lot there in the 1920s and in other emerging industries, including the Hughes Aircraft Company, made it their home.

Located on the western edge of the Los Angeles basin, Culver City’s older neighborhoods, picturesque downtown and stunning parks often serve as film locations.

Inside The Washbow, our audacious designers created visionary sets of their own, curating their favorite Sunbrella® fabrics to tell stories of style and sophistication.
