Hear what interior designers are saying about the role of performance and durability in high end design, in part 2 of Editor TV’s report from the Sunbrella® and ELLE Décor Interior Design Event hosted by Bjork Studio in Atlanta.
“More and more clients are demanding that their spaces perform, that a family room can have play dough and markers and really be able to stand up to family life,” said Kerry Green, principal of Cambodge. “Having fabrics that are able to endure life, enable you to do that.”
More than 80 interior designers, architects and other design professionals came out to see room vignettes created by noted interior designers, Brian Patrick Flynn, principal of Flynnside Out Productions; Drew McGukin, principal of Drew McGukin Interiors; and Alex Gaston, director of design for Mark Cunningham Inc. Their visions of luxury and sophistication included plenty of Sunbrella and explored very different design aesthetics.
From Alex’s chic, masculine black and white palette, and Brian’s soothing, modern pastels, to Drew’s energetic interplay of color and pattern, watch to see what attendees said about the vignettes.
Don’t miss out on Part 1 of Editor TV’s report in which host Kelly Edwards talks to Alex, Brian and Drew and the durability trend in high design and the inspiration behind their vignettes.
